Before lunch, in 2 and a half hours of work Michael had done 33 laps, about 100 km without any problems. Intermediates are used (moist track) and even with that Michael has been driving under the 1 minute. After the first few installation laps, more consistent work started. In the last lap of the last run before lunch Michael set a best time of 0:59.8 so far.

248 F1 development work going on at Fiorano

Maranello, 7th February 2006

Circuit: Fiorano track, 2.976 km - short course 1.413 km

Driver: Michael Schumacher

Car: 248 F1

Second day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working once again today at the Fiorano circuit.

Michael Schumacher continued with development work on the 248 F1, completing a total of 121 laps. The best time on the day was a 57"652.

Testing continues at this circuit tomorrow, still with Michael Schumacher on track.
