Ron Dennis utalande "It's not one of the greatest, it is the greatest" är väl ett bevis på att man vill ha me Spa i kalenderna med eller utan tobaksreklam.

The Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB), who is the governing body ruling motorsport activities in Belgium, reacted cautiously to the news that the Belgian Grand Prix has been announced tentatively on the 2004 Formula One calendar.
"We are glad that the Belgian Grand Prix may come back in 2004 but this is only a provisional calendar so we must stay cautious." said Pierre Van Vliet, RACB spokesperson, to AFP.
The Belgian Grand Prix was held at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit until 2002 and was taken out of the 2003 calendar because of the Belgian law that forbids all tobacco advertising starting in July 2003.
At the RACB's request, the Belgian Grand Prix is listed for 29 August 2004 on the calendar established by the FIA World Council. The official 2004 calendar will only be published in October.
"We cannot take this come-back for granted. The first condition is that Belgian legislation must align itself on the European position." added Van Vliet.
Tobacco advertising will be banned in the European Community at the latest in July 2005 (or at the end of 2006 if the FIA is able to impose its own deadline).
