En traktor, hrmpf. Undrar hur många traktorer som gör 0-100 under 10 sek...
Nejdå, de har inte köpt någon överårig spis från någon annan tillverkare utan snickrat vidare på sin egenutvecklade bensinmotor. Kan intyga att den är mycket trevlig att köra, har kommit ned i 0,59 l/mil under långkörning men annars ligger den runt 0,65-0,7 l/mil. Har haft den sedan Januari och har kört drygt 1000 mil med den, inte ett enda problem hittils!

Den motor dom köpte av Audi var en femma på 2,5 liter. Och den har dom haft sedan 850 diesel, då som TDi. Numera har Volvo en egen femma på 2,4 liter som helt byggs i Skövde.

Peugeot driver Gilles Panizzi may be a master on asphalt, but gravel is a ground that the Frenchman is still trying to find his feet on. Panizzi's gravel woes continued on the third stage of the Rally of Cyprus when he rolled his 206 WRC about half way through the stage. Panizzi lost about two minutes as a result of the roll, but because teammate Richard Burns was coming through the stage he also waited for the reigning World Champion to pass him in order not to slow him down.
This meant that all in all Panizzi lost just under four minutes, which dropped him well down the order. However good news for him is that he was able to continue and not only that but there is now a service area coming up where he can have his 206 fixed up.
Meanwhile Markko Martin became the third Ford driver to stake a claim for the top spot of the leaderboard. The Estonian won the day's third stage, Kapouras- Agios Theodoras, in a time of 20:16.6 and moved up one spot to lead the rally, ahead of his more experienced teammate Colin McRae. Following his fourth placed finish for the stage McRae now finds himself in second place overall and trailing Martin by 5,8 seconds.
Peugeot's Marcus Gronholm also moved up one spot to third place after finishing the stage with the fifth best time, while Francois Duval dropped from first place to fourth after finishing SS3 8,4 seconds behind Martin. Skoda's Kenneth Eriksson progressed up the order and into fifth place having come home with the third best time in the stage. Eriksson's results in the Octavia WRC are looking promising for the Czech team who has so far failed to make much of an impression this season.
Tommi Makinen also climbed up a few places during the stage having posted the sixth best time, the same position in which he finds himself on the overall leaderboard. Kankkunen, who was second quickest, is now sitting in seventh place on the leaderboard ahead of Hyundai drivers Freddy Loix and Armin Schwarz. The top ten is rounded off by Peugeot's Richard Burns.

The 30th Rally of Cyprus got underway this morning in dry and dusty conditions and while the day saw just one big name retirement there were plenty of problems to go around as the drivers fought their way along the rough gravel route that makes up the rally. Six stages in total were run today, and then were divided in half with just one service break, which meant that some of the drivers had been forced to carry a problem for two or even three stages.
One such driver was Ford's Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard damaged his driveshaft about seven kilometres into the first stage, which meant he was forced to nurse his Focus WRC through the next two stages and dropped well down the order and into 21st place. It was tough going for him even after a few quick repairs during the service and he eventually finished the day six minutes behind the leaders and very disappointed.
However it was not all bad news for Ford as Colin McRae finished the opening leg in first place. The Scotsman was the initial leader of the rally having won the first stage, but that lead was then passed to his 21-year-old teammate, Francois Duval, and then to his 26-year-old teammate, Markko Martin. But in the end McRae's experience and knowledge got the better of the youngsters and he took back the lead on SS4 and held onto it.
Martin meanwhile played cat and mouse with Duval for the rest of the day as the two kept on leapfrogging one another, but in the end it was Martin who finished on top in third place, while Duval was fourth for the day.
Peugeot's Marcus Gronholm ensured that Ford did not succeed in gaining total domination and finished the day in second place, 6,9 seconds behind McRae. The 2000 World Champion was consistently in the top five for the day although he failed to win any of the six stages. But consistently won out and at the end of the day second place was his.
Teammate Harri Rovanpera finished in eighth place having started the day slowly, but as it progressed so did his speed and the Finn managed two top six finishes. Richard Burns was lying in ninth place at the end of the day one as he completely his first competitive day on gravel in the 206 WRC.
Subaru's Tommi Makinen was another driver who began slowly but worked his way up. The Finn was only tenth quickest in the day's opening leg, but then managed three top six finishes, which allowed him to finish up in fifth place. His young Norwegian teammate, though, did not have as much luck. Petter Solberg got off to a flier this morning setting the second best time in SS1, however problems on the day's third stage when he damaged his differential, meant he lost a great deal of time. Although he fought back winning the next stage, was third the next, and second in the day's final stage, he still finished Leg One almost four minutes behind McRae.
McRae's younger brother, Alister, was another driver who experienced problems. Alister not only had brake problems on SS2, which saw him lose over a minute to the leaders, but he also broke his driveshaft on the day's final stage. This meant that the Scotsman finished the day 4:42.2 behind his brother. Teammate Francois Delecour was 15th for the day having only broken into the top ten on one occasion, while Jani Paasonen completed the day in 14th place.
Skoda's Kenneth Eriksson had a good opening day in Cyprus finishing up in sixth place. Consistently in the top ten, while on two occasions in the top six, Eriksson demonstrated that the gravel was definitely better suited to the Octavia WRC than asphalt. Teammate Toni Gardemeister was 11th for the day having only entered the top ten on one occasion, while Roman Kresta failed to shine finishing up in 18th place.

Freddy Loix completed the day lying in seventh place having at one stage been in fifth place, while Armin Schwarz also made it into the top ten in tenth place. However for Jani Kankkunen the day came to a premature end. He had been lying in seventh place, but on the road section between SS4 and SS5 his sump broke and he was forced to call it quits.

Hehe, ja det är ju lite svagt när det inte ens vet vem Juha Kankkunen är. Han har ju vunnit 4 titlat för bövelen, då borde man väl kunna veta vad han heter i förnamn.
Under Svenska Rallyt i år kallade autosport Sebastian Loeb för the swede? Så ibland kan även stora motorsportswebbplatser ha fel.
Med de vägarna som de har på Cypern, så lär punkteringarna vara det som fäller avgörandet.
